In this podcast I’ll be having conversations and sharing stories with educators, parents and counselors about communicating with children and adolescents.

Our focus will be on miscommunication and difficulties that can arise leading to challenging behaviour, not always from the young people.

In this first series we are exploring the school environment and some of the creative solutions that people have come up with in order to engage students in learning.

There is diversity in what schools do to minimize the risk of poor behaviour and to encourage student participation.
Studies show that if students are engaged and feel connected to their learning they are really too busy to be misbehaving. Then there are those students who have suffered such trauma in their lives that just turning up to school is a victory.

We’ll be chatting to educators from all over the country and presenting a rich tapestry of narratives about the journey through school.
