First time parents are bombarded with advice especially from well meaning grandparents. Life at this time is stressful enough without being told how to think. As a grandparent of six I’m sensitive to the notion that it’s the new parent’s turn and I try to keep my opinions to myself unless asked.
The baby  for the first 6 months of age does not have the capacity to plan and plot to get the parent’s attention. They are simply communicating a need and ignoring a cry for attention does more harm than good. The lass you meet her needs the more demanding she will become.
The baby’s brain is developing fast, shaped by their experiences and the need to feel safe and the secure is vital to early development.
Love is the answer.
