As I head back towards Newcastle its time to reflect on the time spent in Lightning Ridge, Goodooga and Walgett.
The teachers and support staff were so welcoming and we shared information on supporting students with disabilities in mainstream settings.

These teachers are, in some cases, way ahead of their colleagues over on the coast in their ability to differentiate curriculum to cater for additional needs. The lack of specialist behaviour schools, counsellors and therapists mean that schools have to often find their own solutions to engaging the most difficult students. Impressive stuff!
